Stainless steel 321H pipes are generally used for applications where corrosion protection is necessary. We manufacture, stock and sell stainless steel 321/321H, UNS S32100/S32109, 1.4541/1.4878 seamless and welded pipes or tubes. All our 321/321H stainless steel pipe offerings can be cut to size, threaded or polished per customer requirements. 321/321H stainless steel pipes are widely used in producing furnace components, heat exchangers, superheater and afterburner parts, compensators and expansion bellows, chemical and petrochemical piping systems.

All stock of 321/321H stainless steel pipes is produced in accordance with ASME/ASTM SA/A312 with dimensions and weights in accordance with ASME B36.19. ASME B 36.10. In addition to ASTM A312, the other most commonly requested specs for 321 stainless steel pipes are ASTM A269, ASTM A268, ASTM A249, and ASTM A213.

About 321/321H Stainless Steels

Stainless Steel 321 is a basic austenitic 18/8 steel (Grade 304) stabilised by Titanium (321) addition. SS 321 is used because they are not sensitive to intergranular corrosion after heating within the carbide precipitation range of 425-850°C. Stainless Steel 321 is the grade of choice for applications in the temperature range of up to about 900°C, combining high strength, resistance to scaling and phase stability with resistance to subsequent aqueous corrosion. SS 321H is a modification of SS 321 with a higher carbon content, to provide improved high temperature strength.

  • 321H also shows resistance against acid corrosion in a variety of environments.
  • Lower temperatures provide better resistance, but the metal is able to withstand up to a 10% acid solution
  • 321 stainless steels show very little resistance against chlorine or sulfuric solutions at any given temperature.
